Visitors who wish to visit the Sultanate of Oman can obtain one of 
the following visas, based on their nationality;

- Express Visa

- Single Entry visit Visa

- Multiple Entry Visa

- Common Visa with Dubai

- Residents in GCC states

If a guest who has made a reservation at any of our hotels 
in Oman, need assistance in receiving the visa, the 
relevant hotel can make the required arrangements 
for him/her to obtain the visa.

However, in the event that the reservation is cancelled by the 
guest upon receiving the visa which was arranged by 
the hotel, the relevant authorities will be notified and 
steps will be taken to cancel the visa.

 

Public transport is not widely available in Oman. Taxis and Cars 
are the most convenient modes of transportation and they are 
easily available in major cities including Muscat. However,do 
note that hiring a car can be quite expensive. It is also important 
to keep in mind that women are not supposed to travel alone 
without a chaperon. 

 

Oman is a very traditional country and therefore it is important to treat the local culture with respect. This is particularly important when it comes to the dress code. Women in particular, should 
wear loose fitting clothes that cover most of the body. Men should 
also refrain from wearing shorts, tank tops in public places and 
are required to wear trousers and shirts with sleeves.Swimwear 
should be restricted to the beach or pools.

 

The standard of food hygiene in Oman is in par with developed 
nations. Bottled mineral water is widely available around 
the country. Eating,drinking and smoking in public places 
during the holy month of Ramadan should be avoided, as it is 
forbidden in the Muslim culture. Alcohol is only available in 
major hotels and restaurants and should not be taken in public 
places except in hotels and restaurants that carry a liquor license.

The local currency is the Omani Riyal (OMR)

 

Arabic is the official language used in Oman. English and a 
few Asian languages such as Hindi,Urdu and Baluchi are 
also widely spoken. English is widely used in business.

The country's climate varies slightly from one region to another. 
In the coastal areas the weather is hot and humid while it is dry 
elsewhere in the interior.

 

The Capital of Muscat has many shopping malls which are 
mainly situated in Qurum and spreads to the Al Khuwair area. 
A stroll around the Souqs is a must and they are great places 
to bargain.
