The camp is only a two hour drive away from Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. When you leave Muscat, follow the Sultan Qaboos road past the airport. After the airport roundabout, take the Nizwa highway. Follow this road to Bidbid where you take the Sur off-ramp. Follow this road towards Sur for 150 km. You will pass Ibra and reach a small town called Al Wasil. 500 metres after the Al Wasil sign, turn right at the small orange coloured mosque. Follow the dirt road for 11km to Desert Nights Camp. Use the sign posts located at the 10, 9, 8,7, 6 and 5 km mark to ensure that you are heading in the correct direction.
