The camp is only a two hour drive away from Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. When you leave Muscat, follow the Sultan Qaboos road past the airport. After the airport roundabout, take the Nizwa highway, which is also known as the M23 or the Muscat to Sur Raod. Follow this road to Bidbid where you take the Sur off-ramp and continue on this road towards Sur for 150 km. You will pass a small town called Ibra and after 40 km reach a small village called Al Wasil. 500 metres after the Al Wasil sign, turn right at the small sand coloured mosque. Follow the dirt road for 11km to Desert Nights Camp. Use the sign posts located at every 1km mark to ensure that you are heading in the correct direction.
